BATAAN # 4
Bataan Memorial March # 4, is just a few days away (6 days) and I am ready. So is the LCAR Race Team, all 12 of us. Seven are doing the Honorary March, 14.2 miles, and then there is the 5 person team doing the full March. The weather is supposed to be partly cloudy temp in the high 70's to 80,the wind could blowing in the afternoon at between 20 to 25. It could be a bit cooler and no wind and that would great but I will take what comes. Everyone on the team is ready to go and are excited to do it, even though they will have to get up at between 3:30 and 4:00 am. they are not too excited about that. The only time I get up that early is to do an event like this. I have found that training with others has been a lot of fun and I am hoping that we will be able to do the 26 mile march in under 7 hours, maybe not much under. I am including some photos with this post of some the team members, and some our training. in the last photo two team members are looking at a memorial of where Pat Garrett was shot and killed, not many people know it is there.
